Zee News completes revamp; sports new look

NEW DELHI: Zee News announced today that it has revamped the look of the news channel, including the launch of the new studio, the logo and the complete format of its news bulletins, as had been earlier reported on indiantelevision.com.
The channel will also have new promos and cross media campaigns. To break the monotony and infuse interactive dialogues, Zee News has also introduced the concept of a series of presenters for various sections of the news bulletins, each of who presents a different section of the news.
According to Zee Network director, news group, Laxmi Narayan Goel, "This initiative is aimed at providing freshness to the channel in addition to keeping it in line with the technological advancements in the field."
Zee News, which undertook the last revamp exercise before the budget in 2002, has plans to make this a regular feature so as to make the channel look more dynamic and vibrant. The channel firmly believes that periodical changes in looks and formats are necessary to meet the changing requirements of the viewers, according to a statement from Zee.
The transformation has not been restricted to the studio alone, as the on-air graphics, including all the promos and montages, have been completely changed. The channel ID music too, has undergone a transformation.
The transformation process doesn't end there, Goel said. In tune with the brand strategy, Zee News will continue to promote its brand with cross media campaigns on an ongoing basis, as it continues to evolve with the times.
