Disney's new 'Finding Nemo' game makes learning fun for kids

MUMBAI: Buena Vista Games, Inc. (BVG), the interactive entertainment arm of The Walt Disney Company have made available its fun, underwater learning game, based on a Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, Finding Nemo: Learning With Nemo.

The game is now available for the PC and Macintosh at retail outlets in the US. The game sends players on an all-new, exciting adventure guided by the film's popular characters, Nemo and Dory.

"Finding Nemo: Learning With Nemo brings a new level of enjoyment to interactive learning entertainment. Bolstered by beloved characters and stimulating graphics, children will learn about colors, numbers, letters and other fundamentals in a fun and exciting way," said Buena Vista Games director of marketing Dana Long.

Finding Nemo: Learning With Nemo is an engaging, educational software title for kids ages 2-5. In this game it is Nemo's first day of school, and players must help him and Dory collect pictures of sea creatures on an exciting scavenger hunt. Players will encounter games like Pearl's Garden Eel Bingo, Knock 'Em Down Nemo, Turtle Hopping at the EAC, and finally All Aboard! for a ride back with Mr. Ray to the coral reef.

Along the way, players will pick up valuable preschool-level skills like letter, number and color recognition. There are three levels of play, including an easy mode for younger players. Throughout the game children will be able to take pictures of collectibles and add them to an album in Undersea Sticker Fun, which can be personalized in multiple ways. A wrap-up movie completes the game, and children can return to the main menu to play a new adventure.

Developed by InLight Entertainment and published by Disney Interactive, a game label of Buena Vista Games, Finding Nemo: Learning With Nemo for the PC/Mac is rated "EC" for Early Childhood by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and is priced at $19.99.
