MUMBAI:Radio City 91FM to mark the 58th anniversary of India's Independence on 15 August as well as Rakshabandhan Day on 19 August has come up with a series of special programmes. In addition listeners will get a chance to actively participate in on-air shows and send live wishes and requests.
As part of the celebrations, Radio City 91FM will be highlighting unknown and interesting facts of the freedom struggle. On the onset of the memorable day there will be surprise at the stroke of midnight with a celebrity sharing his feelings, views and opinions on India's Independence for 60 minutes. As the day progresses Radio City 91FM will salute the spirit of independence with special features comprising dramatic narration and profiles of great freedom fighters.
Also, Radio City has planned a special Desh Prem top 10 countdown interspersed with memoirs of our freedom struggle. Where 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' will be a celebrity feature highlighting the greatness of our freedom struggle 'Hindustan Zindabad' will narrate profiles off great freedom fighters and glorious moments in India's freedom struggle
Listeners will also be given an opportunity to win many prizes worth Rs. 40,000 everyday. A special offer will also be available for viewers to free themselves of all the old home appliances in their home and replace it with brand new ones, This contest will run from 15 - 20 August, where one lucky listener everyday will be given a chance to win home appliances worth Rs. 40, 000.
On the occasion of Rakhshbandhan on 19 August listeners will be given a chance to request a song to their sibling; five lucky winners will be given a chance to have their rakhi being delivered to their beloved brothers.
