MUMBAI: US-based M8 Entertainment, Inc., a film entertainment company engaged in the production, financing and worldwide licensing of theatrical feature films, has awarded the North American distribution rights to its upcoming release 11:14 to New Line Cinema. The movie will release this fall.
Starring two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby, Boys Don't Cry), 11:14 is a darkly comic thriller written and directed by first-time director Greg Marcks. Swank's headlining performance is supported by an award-winning ensemble cast that includes Colin Hanks (the upcoming King Kong, Orange County), Patrick Swayze (Donnie Darko, Dirty Dancing), Barbara Hershey (The Portrait of a Lady, Beaches), Rachael Leigh Cook (TV's Into the West, She's All That), Shawn Hatosy (John Q., The Cooler) Henry Thomas (Gangs of New York, E.T. the Extraterrestrial) and Ben Foster (HBO's Six Feet Under, Hostage), states an official release.
11:14 will be available on DVD from New Line Home Entertainment on 11 October. The tale of several seemingly random characters whose lives intersect one fateful night in a small town is told in an intriguing, non-linear style that recalls genre classics Memento and Pulp Fiction.
M8's most recent release is The Upside of Anger, a dramatic comedy written and directed by Mike Binder and starring academy award winner Kevin Costner and academy award nominee Joan Allen. Released in North America by New Line Cinema in March of this year, the movie garnered very favorable critical reviews and performed strongly at the box office, grossing over $18.6 million in North America to date. New Line released the film on DVD on 26 July, the release adds.
