MUMBAI: Brilliant Entertainment Networks (BEN) has announced that it has bagged the rights to organise the Commonwealth 2006 Baton Relay Event, defeating 17 event management companies.
As the 2010 Games are scheduled in Delhi, this Relay event has generated a lot of hype. It will take place on 14 September 2005.
Ben director Raman Raheja says, “It is an honour for all of us at Ben to assist the Govt. of NCR for this prestigious project. With our endeavor to showcase India, we plan to make a grand statement to the World that Delhi is ready to host the games.”
The other contenders to organise the event include DNA Networks, 360 Degrees and TIC. The decision for this multi crore project was taken after a series of presentations, followed by a final presentation to the honorable CM of Delhi.
Ben had earlier hosted the Listen-India Tour.
