MUMBAI: NDTV Profit is set to launch India Inc on 16 May. The show would be hosted by journalist Tavleen Singh, who traces early entrepreneurs to their roots in pre- independence time and chronicles the history of early industry and enterprise in India. Show will air at 8:30 pm and the repeat follows on Sunday at 7:30 pm.
The program will profile families like are the Birlas, Godrejs, Bajajs, Walchands, Piramals, Goenkas, and the Wockhardt group. India Inc. is a series of half hour profiles of various business families who laid the foundations of Indian business against the seemingly impossible odds of colonialism and socialism.
Their profiles will include family history, interviews with the heirs of the founders and will take a look at the state of the companies they created.
The show will showcase exclusive interviews and never-seen-before footage, states a media release, NDTV discovers how these pioneers began their empires and succeeded. The show will highlight the principles they followed, their family tree and many more hidden facts about their personal and professional life.
This is a show that gives the viewers a chance to know these industrialists, the rules they lived by and why they matter so much.
