Turner launches CNN Headline News, Boomerang in Hong Kong

MUMBAI: Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific (TBS) has launched its CNN Headline News and Boomerang channels in Hong Kong . Both networks are available on PCCW Media Ltd.'s NOW Broadband TV.

CNN Headline News is a targetted service for audiences who have specific interests in American news and information. Presenting fast-paced, lively and engaging news headlines, the network is designed especially for viewers who want comprehensive news from the United States in a way that suits the urgency of their schedules. Every 30 minutes, 24 hours each day, CNN Headline News offers a mix of top U.S.-focused stories while also covering business, health, technology, weather, entertainment, the environment, sports and travel.

Boomerang is TBS's 24-hour animation channel that brings together renowned cartoon characters from the celebrated animation team of Hanna-Barbera, Warner Brothers and MGM Studios. Drawing from the world's largest cartoon library, Boomerang puts cultural icons such as Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, The Flintstones and Popeye into a dedicated channel environment.

The launch of CNN Headline News and Boomerang builds on Turner's long-term relationship with Now Broadband TV, which currently broadcasts Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies (TCM).
