Cartoon Network bags seven awards at 2005 Emmy Awards

MUMBAI: Cartoon Network bagged seven awards at the 57th Primetime Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles.

Cartoon Network’s latest original series Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends bagged three Emmys, including the Emmy in the category of 'Art Director'.
 
 

The Emmy’s won by Cartoon Network include:

    Samurai Jack for "Storyboard" (Individual Technical Achievement in Animation)
    Star Wars: Clone Wars for "Background Designer" (Individual Technical Achievement in Animation)
    Star Wars: Clones Wars Vol 2 (Chapters 21-25) for "Outstanding Animated Program" (Programming one hour or more)
    Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends won three Emmy’s for "Character Design" (Individual Technical Achievement in Animation), "Storyboard" (Individual Technical Achievement in Animation) and "Art Director" (Individual Technical Achievement in Animation)
    The Powerpuff Girls won an Emmy for the category of "Background Designer" (Individual Technical Achievement in Animation)

The Emmy Awards are voted on by writers, actors, directors and other members of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
