MUMBAI: BBC World is celebrating a week-long dedicated Indian programming branded block from 15 October. Branded as India Week, the channel will have extensive coverage on variety of news and features from the sub continent.
World Business Report and Asia Business Report will take a look at the Indian economy, the vision of 8 per cent growth and the upward graph of the stock market.
Hardtalk comes to India on India Week with host Stephen Sackur meeting various personalities ranging from Indian politics and economy.
Yet another major highlight of India Week will be the show Talking Point which will be broadcasting from India where viewers will be able to share their views on topical issues and put their questions directly to leading figures on the panel.
India Week will highlight show such BBC News, BBC News Extra, and Asia Today . The channel will feature live news and presentation from the capital New Delhi, covering a wide range of topics and issues.
The show Click Online will be from Bangalore and wiill also feature reports from Hyderabad with two special editions. Stephen Cole will meet some of the biggest names of the Indian IT industry and take a look at the growth in this sector.
Presenter Akhtar Khan and the Fast Track team will travel to India on India Week.
