dsa

Sandeep Goyal, group broadcasting CEO of Zee Telefilms has been elected director of the International Council of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The US-based body represents broadcasting businesses from around the world and has 90 directors on its board. Goyal, who is the first Indian to be elected director of NATAS, says his objective is to provide an international forum for Indian broadcasting.

NATAS organises America's prestigious Emmy Awards for TV each year. Goyal joins international broadcasting business luminaries like the heads of Channel 4 (UK) Canal Plus (France), Fuji-TV (Japan) and Paramount (US).

The International Council is an independent organisation consisting of TV, media and entertainment leaders who exchange ideas, set standards and promote new philosophies for the future of global quality programming.
