Fox Network picks up Davey Holmes' drama for filming

MUMBAI: Fox is said to be zeroing in on a casting director for Worthy written by Davey Holmes.

Executively produced by Holmes and Gavin Polone, the film follows an Arizona politician called ‘Worthy‘ whose struggle to do the right thing takes a wrong turn after he gets involved in a hit-and-run case and gets blackmailed in the bargain.

Holmes said that the film will feature home pages to real stints of Larry Craig and his bathroom-stall incident. The show was inspired by fallen politicians that include Eliot Spitzer and Rod Blagojevich.

Though Worthy seemed destined for cable, but an encouraging response from the channel‘s programming chiefs Kevin Reilly and Peter Rice had the script landed at Fox, Holmes said.

Holmes, who works on ABC‘s midseason drama

Happy Town won a WGA Award this year in the new series category for writing Treatment. His series credits also include ABC‘s Pushing Daisies and FX‘s Damages.

In addition to Worthy, Fox recently picked up The Rednecks & Romeos a comedy directed by Mark Brazill.
