Vinod K Lamba is new President of Film Federation of India

NEW DELHI: Delhi-based film distributor, exhibitor and financier Vinod K Lamba has been unanimously elected president of the Film Federation of India (FFI), the apex body of film organisations in the country.

Eight vice presidents including outgoing president TP Aggarwal were also elected at an Executive Committee Meeting of the Federation held in Mumbai earlier this week. Supran Sen continues to be the Secretary General of the Federation.

The vice presidents are: Aggarwal (Maharashtra), L Suresh (Tamil Nadu); Ram Vidhani (Maharashtra); Sunil Kumar (Bihar); Jitendra Jain (Madhya Pradesh); Ravi Kottarakara (Kerala); C Kalyan (Andhra Pradesh); and A R Raju (Karnataka).

Hirachand Dand (Maharashtra) and Rajendar Singh (Delhi) are the new Honorary General Secretaries, while Sangram Shirke (Maharashtra) is the Honorary Treasurer.

Lamba is associated with the film distribution firm Select Pictures in Delhi and also owns theatres in Uttar Pradesh. He represents the Motion Pictures Association, Delhi.
