Release of Bhavna Talwar film Happi deferred

MUMBAI: The release of the Bhavna Talwar-directed film Happi has been deferred. It will now release on 9 August.

This is Kapur‘s first film as an actor since Halla Bol four years ago.

Kapur had made it very clear to his producer (Sheetal Talwar) that until the release of his directorial debut Mausam in July, he won‘t have any time for the promotion and marketing of Happi. Incidentally, both Happi and Mausam are produced by Talwar.

The director wanted to release her film on 15 April to coincide with the birth anniversary of Charlie Chaplin, but Kapur couldn‘t devote time as he was busy with the shooting of the Shahid Kapur starrer.

Bhavna admits that Happi has been held up. "Pankajji is completely consumed by Mausam. We‘ve no choice but to release Happi after Mausam releases on 22 July. In fact Pankajji will be promoting Happi while he promotes Mausam. At the many events that they‘ve planned for Mausam, Pankajji will be talking about Happi. It‘s a small film compared to Mausam and we have to prioritise it accordingly," she says.

Mausam is due for release on 22 July.
