PIL filed for stay on release of Ready

NEW DELHI: A public interest litigation filed in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court seeks a stay on the release of Salman Khan-Asin starrer ‘Ready’ because of the song ‘Character Dheela‘ in the film.

Hindu Personal Law Board chairman Ashok Pandey and its general secretary Vinod Shanker Mishra have said that the song contains ‘raas leela’ in the lyrics and is an attack on the Sanatam Dharma.

The film was released yesterday.

The petitioners have complained that the song is already being aired on television channels.

Actor Salman Khan, director Anees Bazmi, the Central Board of Film Certification and its chairperson, and the secretary in the Information and Broadcasting Ministry have been made respondents in the PIL.
