MUMBAI: The promos of the Pankaj Kapur directed film Mausam have been barred for exhibition after a trailer of the film had a cow passing by in one of the frames.

The Censor Board has now asked the film’s producers to obtain clearance from the Animal Welfare Board before it could clear the film.
 
Censor Board CEO Pankaja Thakur has said that J.P. Singh, the Regional Officer (Mumbai), has examined the promos and has cleared all of them. But besides this, the Animal Welfare Board‘s NOC is also required in order to show animals on screen.

Though the film‘s producer Sheetal Talwar accepts that any shot of an animal in a film has to be cleared by the Animal Welfare Board, he is furious as to why all the other teaser trailers are being held back because of one passing shot.
