MUMBAI: Three days before its release, Prasar Visions, the maker of Jodi Breakers has been cleared of charges of plagiarism leveled by the producers of the French film, Heartbreakers.

The French filmmaker‘s lawyer Neolegal Associates saw Jodi Breakers recently after which it came to the conclusion that there were no overt similarities between the two films.

Confirming the same, the film‘s director Ashwini Chaudhary said: "Their lawyers have concluded that there are no similarities between their film and ours. The fact that they came to this conclusion comes as no surprise to me. I was aware that there were no similarities between the two films, other than maybe the similar-sounding titles. I don‘t know who started this whole allegation against our film. This is not the kind of publicity we were looking for."
