I Am Kalam to release in June-end

MUMBAI: Nila Madhab Panda’ s I Am Kalam is set for a June-end release.

The one-and-a-half-hour long award-winning feature about the struggle of a boy who is inspired by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, produced by Smile Foundation, aims at motivating the poor to educate their children.

I Am Kalam has been screened at 25 international film festivals worldwide and has won 11 international awards including the top film at the recently concluded Indian Film Festival in Los Angeles (IFFLA).

Soon after the release, Panda will start working on part II and part III of the film. But unlike the first part, the sequels won‘t be inspired by Kalam. The trilogy will actually concentrate on the story of chhotus and facets of their life in different parts of the country, according to Panda.
