Documentary fest in Delhi from 9 Feb

MUMBAI: Documentary festival ‘Persistence Resistance’ will be screened across four venues in Delhi from 9 to 17 February.

Having their Indian premiere would be Kersti Uibo’s This is the Day and Micha Peled’s Bitter Seeds.

Films that will have their Delhi premiere would be K. R. Manoj’s A Pestering Journey, Living like a Common Man and The 4th Revolution – Energy Autonomy.

The festival will present selections of Indian and German archives which will play in a circular loop in outdoor video parlours at the India International Centre from 12 to 15 February.

Animation films by graphic novelist Sarnath Banerjee will be screened for the first time ever.

An exhibition called ‘Elusive Truth, Evolving Medium: Evaluating Contemporary Political Documentary’ by Rattanamol Johal will be held at the Queens Gallery, British Council.

The festival will also pay homage to Tareque Masud and Lucia Rikaki.

All the screenings will be held at the British Council, Arts Faculty, Delhi University North Campus, India International Centre and Max Mueller Bhawan.
