Dharmendra plans autobiography in Urdu

MUMBAI: After fifty glorious years and over 225 films under his belt, veteran actor Dharmendra is all set to give a close glimpse of his life through words. He is writing his autobiography and what’s different about it is that it will be in Urdu because that is the language he is most comfortable with.

In the book, Dharmendra will share his most precious moments right from his childhood. Not just that, he will share exclusive pictures and his poetry which is close to his heart. In his earlier days, he had participated in a talent hunt but even after winning the contest, the actor spent days without food and shelter. The application form that he filled for the contest will also form part of the book.

Talking about the journey and re-living the moments, Dharmendra said, “"Even after winning that contest, I had to slog for a year for Bandini. I spent days without a morsel of food but was adamant of making it in the industry. I have a lot to share with people who aspire to become something in life and I am planning to do it through my autobiography."

The book will narrate the veteran’s journey, success, failure, his two marriages and alleged relationship with his screen ladies. The actor will share personal and detailed experience of his initial struggle making a place for himself in Bollywood and finally achieving stardom. He will also talk about his determination to make it to Bollywood.
