Amir Bashir's film to screen at 54th San Francisco Intl film fest

MUMBAI: The 54th San Francisco International Film Festival has selected Harud (Autumn) directed by Aamir Bashir to be part of Narrative Features in New Directors competition of the festival.

Mourning the disappearance of his elder brother, a young man tries to make a life for himself in his violence-ridden home of Kashmir in this powerful depiction of the loss and psychological decay caused by 20 years of violent conflict is what the film is all about.

The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year

In all eleven feature narratives will vie for the New Directors award that comprises of a prize money of $15,000.

The festival will be held from 21 April to 5 May.
