GOA: Day 3 of Goafest 2019 sprung up quite a few surprises, led by the crowning of Viacom18 Media as the Creative Company of the Year. The company’s haul comprised of a gold, three silver and three bonze metals taking its points tally to 38. MTV's 'April Fool's prank at your own risk' resulted in Viacom18’s gold medal win.
Cheil India walked away with three golds, a bronze and a silver each to finish second on the table.
Dentsu Webchutney’s kept its winning momentum at Goafest as it was awarded Digital Specialist Agency of the Year. The agency won three golds, four silver and nine bronze metals to dominate the category, which saw Cheil India and WatConsult win eight and three metals respectively.
Video Craft Specialist of the Year was awarded to Hungry Films, who bagged three gold and two bronze metals to finish with 32 points. Storytellers.in and Flying Saucer rounded off the second and third spots with three and two metals respectively. Asylum Films grabbed gold in the cinematography category for its work on the brand Durex (Durex Air).
Cheil India was named Branded Content and Entertainment Specialist of the Year with two gold metals. FCB India Advertising LLP ended up with a gold and one silver.
Four Special Abbys were handed out in the Gender Sensitive Category. Ola ‘#Myindependence’ and Mahindra & Mahindra ‘Ladki Haath Se Nikal Jaayegi’ secured a gold each, while UrbanClap ‘No Makeup Day Peerzada’ and Reebok ‘#Bruisescanbegood won a bronze each.
The National Geographic Green Awards saw Dentsu Webchutney winning three silvers, with FCB India Advertising LLP taking home two bronze and Ignite Mudra and RepIndia settling for a bronze each.
