MUMBAI: Indian media agency Madison Media has bagged the media mandate for Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi.
Madison Media will handle the account from its Bangalore office. It is believed that the account is worth Rs 100 crore. It wasn't until last evening that the brand and agency confirmed the news of their deal.
Xiaomi launched its first smartphone, Mi 3, in India in 2014 and now claims nearly 17 per cent of India’s smartphone market as of 2017. Xiaomi aims to capture the largest market share of the country within three to five years.
