MUMBAI: Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has partnered with India Today Group to launch the Discovery Channel Magazine in India.
Mirroring the different genres featured on the Discovery Channel, the Discovery Channel Magazine will cover a wide spectrum of topics including nature, adventure, marvels, sci-tech, history, the universe, forensics, seekers, survival, info-tech, psychology and the environment.
To be published monthly, Discovery Channel Magazine will have a contemporary design and feel and will stay true to the DNA of the Discovery brand. The editorial will deliver a compelling read, with strong injections of humour and emotion.

MUMBAI: Discovery Kids has bought the rights of comedy action series The Adventures of Tintin, the animated adaptation of one of the most popular comic classics of all times, for the Indian market.
The Adventures of Tintin is a 39 episode long series and will be aired on Discovery Kids every day at 2 pm with repeat telecast at 8 pm, starting 26 January.
The Adventures of Tintin is full of humour and excitement with elements of fantasy and mystery which kids will adore. The intrepid young reporter and his faithful dog Snowy travel around the world accompanied by a colourful cast of characters including the blustery Captain Haddock, the brilliant but absent-minded Professor Calculus and the detective Twins Thompson and Thomson.

MUMBAI: Animal Planet has announced its upcoming programming line-up with the launch of a 52-week series titled ?Animal Planet A-Z?.
Starting 7 January, the show will air every night at 10 pm.
This line-up of Animal Planet A-Z will take viewers onto a wild expedition that features the details of one particular animal every week, covering from A to Z of varied species. A for Anaconda, B for Bears, C for Crocodiles, D for Dog, E for Elephants and many more - each week will encapsulate the animal?s habitat, nature, wild attacks.
The programmes will also include aquatic creatures like Fish and untamed participants in the list - the monstrous bugs found in the forests.

The reality series produced by Paperny Films will air every night at 10 pm on the channel. The series follows host Bob Blumer as he travels the world searching for weird and unusual restaurants.
From monkeys that serve beer in a Japanese tavern to the pride owners of Dick?s Last Resort take in their bad service, Bob seeks out the most unconventional and unique dining experiences across the world.
Over 13 episodes World?s Weirdest Restaurants will introduce the viewers to the planet?s 52 most eccentric eateries and their out of box serving and catering styles.
