Mukta Arts launches four theatres this festive season
MUMBAI: Mukta Cinemas, a division of Mukta Arts Limited, has launched four new theatre properties under its brand nam
MUMBAI: Whistling Woods International, a subsidiary of Mukta Arts, has signed an MoU with Bradford College to set up a co-branded film school in UK.
Whistling Wood International Bradford College Film School will provide undergraduate courses in film-making and animation to students from across the world.
The film school will be set up in the main heritage building of Bradford College, UK and is expected to commence operations in 2013. The first batch of students will be accepted in the Autumn/Fall 2013 intake in August/September.
The two programs that the school commences with are a three-year Bachelor?s degree in Films and three-year Bachelor?s degree in Animation.
This venture will also include a twinning model where students studying in these courses may spend one or two semesters at the Whistling Woods Mumbai campus and thereby be exposed to the Indian film industry.
In 2009-10, Whistling Woods and Bradford College had jointly put in a bid to the UK-India Education Research Initiative for support in a proposed student film co-production. This bid was accepted and over the next year, students from both the institute came together for co-production of a stop-motion animation film.
WWI recently said that it would also set up a campus in Nigeria to provide courses in film-making and animation.
