MUMBAI: English movie channel Movies Now has launched a block on Saturdays at 7 pm called ‘Happy Hours‘.

Films that are family friendly like ‘Happy Feet‘ and ‘Surf‘s Up‘ will be aired.

The animation special initiative starts with Happy Feet, the story of Mumble who is unable to find his "heart song," a tune unique to each penguin that attracts a mate. Instead of the soulful melodies all the other penguins sing, Mumble croaks out horrible sounds. But he can tap dance up a storm.

‘Shrek 3‘ is the third movie in the popular franchise. Viewers will get to see the Jolly Green Ogre and his happy life in the swamp.

MUMBAI: Movies Now has lined up special screenings of director James Cameron?s films for the month of October.

Titled ?Best of Cameron?, the English movie channel will showcase these films every Thursday at 9 pm. The titles include the box office hit movie Titanic.

The Super Movie on the channel for October is ?Iron Man?. Robert Downey Junior plays the role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man. It airs on 27 October at 9 pm.

The channel will also spice up early prime time with ?Happy Hours?. This is family focussed and film airs every Saturday at 7 pm. ?Shrek 3? and ?Happy Feet? are some of the films that will air next month.

Celebrating Dusshera day on 24 October, Movies Now will theme it as ?Victory Over Evil?. Films like ?Predators? and ?Spiderman 3? where the hero vanquishes the villain will air.

MUMBAI: Movies Now has created a late night slot at 11 pm which will focus on films that deal with fear and terror.

The initiative Atmos-Fear will see films air next month like ?The Omen? and ?The Exorcist?.

Movies Now hopes to drive up ratings on horror and thriller as they are popular genres. One of the films, ?Jennifer?s Body?, will see Megan Fox satiate her hunger for human blood. There are also slasher movies ??The Hills Have Eyes? and ?Jason X?.

Mumbai: Movies Now will showcase films of Charlie Chaplin under the initiative called ?Chaplin Chapters?.

The initiative begins with ?Modern Times? on 8 March at 9 pm where he takes viewers through the journey of industrialisation. He turns against modern society, the machine age and progress. He frantically tries to keep up with a production line, tightening bolts! He is selected for an experiment with an automatic feeding machine and a number of mishaps follow one after the other.

Another movie that will be showcased is ?The Circus? on 15 March at the same time. This movie was written and directed by Chaplin himself It?s a story of a penniless and hungry Tramp (Chaplin) who is mistaken for a pickpocket and is chased by both the police and the real crook (the latter having stashed a stolen wallet and watch in the Tramp?s pocket to avoid detection). Running away, the Tramp stumbles into the middle of a performance and unknowingly becomes the hit of the show.

One of Chaplin?s most commercially successful films, The Great Dictator, will be showcased on 22 March.
