    MUMBAI: US broadcaster E! Entertainment which focusses on Hollywood, has announced a talent deal with David Burtka in which he will serve as correspondent for "E! News," as well as other programming initiatives, including participating in ‘Live from the Red Carpet‘ and E! Specials.

    ‘E! News‘, which features celebrity and entertainment news will task Burtka with a wide range of responsibilities including interviews with personalities, covering pop culture‘s biggest events and delivering up-to-the-minute breaking news. He will begin reporting full-time in January.

    The broadcaster adds that Burtka‘s background allows him to bring his own insider expertise to "E! News," and join the current team as they deliver the most comprehensive celebrity news coverage on television to entertainment fans around the globe.

    He began his acting career on the stage and in 2001 won the Clarence Derwent Award for most promising male performer for his role as The Boy in the American premiere of Edward Albee‘s The Play About the Baby. Burtka then made his Broadway debut in Edward Albee‘s ‘The Goat‘ opposite Sally Field, followed by his acclaimed role as Tulsa in Sam Mendes‘ ‘Gypsy‘ starring Bernadette Peters.
