  • Animal Planet to air a series on tigers from 1 April

    MUMBAI: Animal Planet will kick off the show ?Where Tigers Rule? on 1 April.

    The show, which looks at the tiger?s behavior, predatory skills, legends and issues related to its survival, will air every night at 9 pm.

    Filmed in forests, grasslands and protect reserves, the show will provide a look into the mysterious world of the tiger.

    Joining hands with Animal Planet are Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu and Olympic Gold Medalist Abhinav Bindra. The channel believes that such efforts will augment its efforts to generate nationwide interest on tigers and the threats affecting their survival.

    Each episode of Bollynomics will encapsulate different aspects of this trade such as cover story on the week?s trend, tete-a tete with prominent producers, distributors and studio executives; The Big Picture ? a small chat segment with prominent personalities from the Trade fraternity; Star Equity ? the analysis of a Bollywood personality every week; weekly Trade Report ? a consolidated analysis and report on the happenings of the week gone by; and Bollywood This Week ? Top 10 trade related news of the week.

    Disney UTV executive director- Youth Networks Nikhil Gandhi said, ?UTV Stars launched with the thought of getting Bollywood closer to its fans and we have continued to deliver on this promise ever since. With Bollynomics, audiences will get a chance to know and better understand the business of Bollywood and its movies which forms such an integral part of their everyday lives.?

    The first episode will feature the show host in conversation with Bipasha Basu and Vinod Bhanushali, Rohan Sippy and David Dhawan.

    The show will be hosted by UTV Stars director and editor- content Manish Dubey.
