MUMBAI: After creating specific genres such as games, music, films, cricket and prayers for mobile content, Tata Teleservices is now looking to explore the regional realm to expand its offerings. Films, music and all the other popular genres will be tapped targeting the regional consumers.
This was revealed by Tata Teleservices vice president Suneel Bandhu while speaking on the topic 'Mobile Story' on the final day of the Telecom & Broadband Summit 2005 organised by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in Mumbai.
"The next big focus for mobile content will be on regional language. There will be a stress on the Eastern and Northern parts of India," said Bandhu.
Bandhu also stressed on the need to make the content available to the masses as well to make the whole effort a success. "To make this possible, Tata has started offering low-cost handsets equipped with all the latest technologies. We offer a high-end handset for a market prize as low as Rs 5000," he said.
