MUMBAI: Zee News special correspondent Priti Sompura has won the "Best Electronic Media Journalist‘‘ instituted by Maharashtra Aashirwaad Organisation.
Maharashtra Aashirwaad is a reputed organization, working towards promoting the national language (Hindi) for the last 15 years. The organization conferred the awards to the best journalist in all language segments.
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh along with the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. R R Patil gave the award to Ms.Sompura.
"This award goes to the Zee News team and my family. I could never have done it without the support of all my well-wishers," says Priti.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr.Harish Doraiswamy, CEO, Zee News Ltd. said "Zee News has been proving its excellence in reporting by winning awards on a regular basis that firmly establishes it as a strong contender for the most popular news channel of the country".
