The event, aptly christened the ‘BIG Gudgudee‘ saw the ever-entertaining Rakhi Sawant, comedy queen Purbi Joshi and the Station‘s breakfast jocks RJ Vrajesh Hirjee and RJ Archana Jani keep the congregation in splits! With their antics and jokes, it was truly a fun-n-frolic time for these otherwise lonely senior citizens. The highlight of the evening though was Rakhi Sawant who was the showstopper in her over-sized clown attire with an equally gigantic hat.

The evening saw everybody from the old-age home participate in a laughter session, which proved to be true to the old adage ‘Laughter is the best medicine‘. It was extremely heartening to see all of them engrossed and enjoying the fun & games with all the celebrity guests along with BIG 92.7 FM celebrity RJ Vrajesh Hirjee.

  • Star World presents a brand new series to PSYCH you this summer!

Submitted by ITV Production on May 05, 2007

MUMBAI:Star World presents a brand new American comedy-drama series starring James Roday as Shawn Spencer, a young police consultant whose "heightened observational skills" and impressive detective instincts lead people to believe that he‘s psychic. The show also stars Dul? Hill as Shawn‘s best friend, and reluctant partner Gus, and Corbin Bernsen as Shawn‘s captious father, Henry. Tune in to the pilot episode of PSYCH, this Monday, May 7th at 10 p.m. only on Star World.

Raised in Santa Barbara, Shawn possesses uncanny powers of observation honed by his police officer father, Henry, who drilled young Shawn to note even the smallest of details from his surroundings as a way of grooming him for his inevitable career in the family business. Unfortunately, when a rift develops between father and son, Shawn finds himself taking a series of random jobs instead of becoming the detective he was groomed to be. However, for the fun of it, he makes a habit of calling in tips to the police about cases he reads about or sees on television, and when one of his tips appears too close to the truth, the police are convinced that Shawn is an accomplice and arrest him. Using his charm and well-tuned talent, Shawn convinces the cops that he‘s actually a psychic, and although highly skeptical of his explanation, they hire him to help solve tough cases. With the reluctant assistance of his best friend, Gus (Hill), Shawn uses his skills of observation and charismatic personality to become the detective he was trained to be, opening his own PI agency, PSYCH, and solving cases for an ever-suspicious - but grudgingly impressed - police force.

So don‘t forget to tune in to the pilot episode of PSYCH this coming Monday, May 7th at 10 p.m. only on Star World.

MUMBAI: This May, Zee Caf? brings to India Battlestar Galactica ? a show that has redefined sci-fi for many across the world. It is an epic saga of a group of humans aboard a battleship - Battlestar Galactica who are forced to abandon their planet after a massive attack by the Cylons (who were created as slaves by humans themselves). The journey, then, begins in search of the legendary 13 th Colony (Earth) and has all the action & thrills one expects from a sci-fi show that has gained legendary proportions worldwide.

The show has been acclaimed as the ‘sci-fi for the evolved generation‘ ? interestingly, unlike most other clich?d sci-fi flicks, Battlestar Galactica has real humans (behaviourally & physically). So, no more disco outfits, Egyptian helmets, techno babble. It is a true space opera whose time has come.

The show will begin with mini-series that will be aired in May across 4 episodes. Beginning June, Season 1 takes over.
