Worldspace presents new programmes this May
MUMBAI: Worldspace Satellite Radio will, as it does every May, feature special programming on its channel.
"We are confident that this initiative will further establish our brand as the best source for exclusive programme listening - both international and local Indian regional music - in our markets," said WorldSpace India chief marketing officer Harshad Jain.
Program Highlights-
Orbit Rock‘s FULL SPIN presents Journey‘s classic album "Escape" - On 25th May, Orbit Rock (Channel 176) presents another classic album in their Full Spin series - this time its Journey‘s "Escape". Listen to classic tracks from the album such as the "Who‘s Crying Now," "Don‘t Stop Believing‘," "Stone in Love," and the ultimate Power Ballad "Open Arms." Full Spin is heard Friday‘s at 1500 GMT, (8:30pm in India) and encores on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
Farishta Orchestra - On 26th May, Radio Farishta (Channel 45) presents Farishta Orchestra. It‘s week number 8 of the Nava Rasa special - which is the special devoted to the nine human emotions. This week the program explores the "Bhayanak" Rasa - this Rasa caters to the emotions of fear, anxiety and uncertainty. Farishta Orchestra airs Saturday from 7PM-10PM (IST)
Riff Spotlight Series - Dr. Jazz and Fats Waller - On Sunday night, Riff (Channel 222) presents another program in the long running Spotlight Series. This week Riff puts the spotlight on the legendary Fats Waller. And as if that wasn‘t enough, this episode also features our very own Dr. Jazz. Spotlight Series is heard at 1600 GMT (9:30PM in India) on Sunday evening, with repeats on Wednesday at 1800 GMT (11:30PM IST), Friday at 1500 GMT (8:30pm IST) and Saturday at 0700 GMT (12:30pm IST)
Jhankaar Paresh Rawal Birthday Special - On Wednesday 30 May, Jhankaar celebrates actor Paresh Rawal‘s birthday in a special way on Morning Raga. From 8AM-11AM (IST), RJ Fizza takes the listener through some of Paresh Rawal‘s films which portray him in serious roles.
