MUMBAI: Leading direct-to-home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has extended it bouquet of offerings with the inclusion of new semi-annual packs. The new addition, however, has a lock-in period of six months. Tata Sky has priced these new packs within the range of Rs 2,007 to Rs 2,840.
While the Harit Nagpal-led company has always been ahead of the curve, the implementation of the TRAI’s new tariff order has offered further evidence of Tata Sky’s ability to adapt rather quickly to a changing landscape.
According to media reports, the semi-annual packs are restricted to corporate connections for the time being. However, there could be price revisions on this front going forward.
The DTH major is offering Gujarati Hindi Basic Semi-Annual Pack at Rs 2,007, Hindi Basic Semi-Annual Pack at Rs 2,008, Marathi Hindi Basic Semi-Annual Pack at Rs 2,029, Hindi Basic HD Semi-Annual Pack at Rs 2,836, Marathi Hindi Basic HD Semi-Annual Pack at Rs 2,840 and the Gujarati Hindi Basic HD Semi-Annual Pack at Rs 2,698.
Earlier, Tata Sky waived off the lock-in period on all its channels (a-la-carte and bouquets). The DTH operator had also introduced regional smart plans bundled with free-to-air (FTA) channels (starting at Rs 206).
