MUMBAI: Kalanithi Maran's Sun TV is beaming without a pause in the US. The most popular Indian channel in the South, Tamil channel Sun TV, is now available 24 hours a day in the US.

From 12 September, Sun became the first regional channel to be beamed into the US through a DTH platform. Earlier, only Zee and Sony had this facility. Sun now plans bringing its other channels, Gemini and Surya for the NRI population speaking Telugu and Malayalam.

The channel is available on the DISH Network for $14.99 a month. Its programming mix includes news, film based shows, serials, children's programmes, movies and game shows.
